They are beautiful Gregg. Really like #3 and #4. Thanks for sharing, it must have been the trip of a lifetime. Best, Bob
Thanks Bob. Yes, it was. I'm there running my workshops every year, so every year is a trip of a life time for me
I love Patagonia. For next year I've arranged a Marble Caves adventure. It should be an interesting trip...
Whoa, the light bouncing off that cloud bank in photo #1 almost makes it look like the foreground was flipped horizontally. Either that or there are two suns? But, the final image in the set gives clarity to the gorgeous weather.
I'll definitely try to hit up the Festival of Arts! I'm usually a Sawdust guy, but I'm sure the FoA is amazing as well...
Welcome to the Festival of Arts Gregg. I grew up in Laguna Beach and exhibited in the FOA for 29 years (with my paintings). I now only show my work at the Sawdust Festival (for 38 years); mainly paintings, but some of my photos too. I can't wait to meet you at the Festival, and I hope you visit me at the Sawdust.

Is there a reason you only show your work at Sawdust Festival? Is it better, more people visits Sawdust?
I'll be at the FOA evenings and weekends so this would be the best time to find me. I'll try to find you at Sawdust. My booth is 44 by the way.

Ya gotta be a Laguna resident to do the (summer) Sawdust, so while I suspect the Festival of Arts might be a little more classy, (no bark chips) ...the Sawdust still has a certain allure to it that can't be duplicated. I'll always remember helping to build a booth with/for friends!
As a Costa Mesa resident, I'd really like to at least exhibit at the winter Sawdust one of these days!
The FoA gets 200,000 people a summer that see the Pageant of the Masters, but very few of them are "buyers." Non Pageant attendance (just those going to see the art) isn't even close to the Sawdust's 150,000 summer visitors, most of whom buy something, big or small.
As a painter, the Sawdust allows us to sell prints of our original paintings, which the FoA does not. Prints are 80% of my sales, money wise. That doesn't affect photographers though, because they can obviously sell prints of their photos at either show. Many artists do both shows, but, surprisingly, I found my sales went up after I just concentrated on one show (the Sawdust).
