Awesome work! Really liking the 7d2 pics being posted. It looks like it's time to upgrade my 7d.
Chris
If you are the owner of a 7D, I don't think you will be disappointed at all if you do upgrade.
I picked up a 7D2 last Friday, and I have to say I am totally blown away by it. I was never fond of AutoISO in the past but I love the implementation of AutoISO in this camera. I like being able to set a higher minimum shutter speed (up to 1/8000!) in AV or P mode. Last night I discovered Exposure Compensation in Manual Mode. What a gem!
I put my worst auto focusing lens (a Canon 50mm 1.4) on it late last night and shot, literally, in the dark. It consistently nailed focus on things I could barely even see. I was really surprised to say the least.
And after performing a little noise reduction, I printed some ISO 12,800 shots expecting to see a mess and again - blown away by what I see .
Kudo's to Canon. They did a really good job designing this camera except for a few "WTF were they thinking" moments playing around with a button or two, like the AF Area Selection Lever, which should have been bi-directional. No doubt something the engineers will fix in the next camera to get this new button.
So far I haven't found much to complain about. Still discovering and expect to discover more new things as the days go on.
Highly recommended.
