Thanks so very much, got wrapped up in New firmware and discovering I could make my own jpeg setting pull reds and upload to my cameras via the eos utility that I was hasty, apologies....
Do you feel it would be interesting ( and compares their IS) to see the Sigma at 6.3 ISO 800 and the Canon at f8 ISO 1600 to see what detail is gained by the stop, if one shot the 7dm2 in jpeg you could leave NR off at 800 but not 1600 and feature detail would be greatly improved..for example...

Highly unlikely, since I never found up-sizing an image by 1.4x to produce as good results as using a 1.4x TC. If you could get as good results by up-sizing, nobody would buy 1.4x TC's.
