I usually don't post 2 photos here on FM in the same week, but this time I am making an exception
This photo of Paine Grande was taken after my official Patagonia Photo Adventure 2015. After the photo tour, I took some time for my own photography development to enrich my connection with the area that I have experienced during my earlier trips. Exploration in search for new photo locations defines my philosophy of landscape photography. Every time when I go off the beaten path, I refuel my creativity and find where the essence of landscape photography exists.
It was a very colorful morning in the off-the-main-trail area of Torres del Paine. For that particular daybreak I had planned different location for possible composition, but this view caught my attention the night before so I decided to stay there instead.
The water level in the stream outflowing from the lake was very low, but I found the angle that allowed catching the reflection.
The mountain and the area shown on this photo required some of the off the trail hiking, but it was definitely worth the effort as it shows a new and previously unphotographed perspective on Paine Grande.
Comments are appreciated.
Some technical aspects that I was asked about: I shoot this photo with Nikon D810, 28mm ISO 64, f/11, 0.4sec
3 shots for DOF and one additional shot to include more sky in the final composition. All blended by hand.
Wow! Killer composition and PP. I wish we had more time to explore Patagonia and wish I had stayed behind after our workshop had concluded. Live and learn! That would look great over a living room couch!

Dave
Dave, Patagonia is becoming like a big IKEA store, now. The flood of almost the same looking photos and compositions is scary. The same has recently happened with Iceland and Norway. Fortunately, there are still so many beautiful and photographically unexplored places in all these locations. Definitely worth exploring it deeper and far from the beaten path. It is also easier as you don't need to "push" too many people with cameras shooting in the same spot

Don
Thanks Don! Yeah, the light was fantastic that morning. So perfect that there is actually no need to adjust anything there. Nothing beats up the nature!
