Just wanted to share this with everyone, I normally post pictures of my grandkids, especially Nina and Alexi, but please bear with me for this posting.
One of the other Big parts of my life, is my Golden, Buddy, I can't tell you how long we've be training for this Hunting Title, Called Senior Hunter (SH), we've had to over come a lot of Buddy's "concerns", but it all came to a successful finish this past Saturday, when we got up early, traveled 4 hours down to Remington, Va to enter the Back Bay Spring Hunt Test. Buddy completed his 4th successful pass to meet the full requirements for his new AKC title, Senior Hunter (SH).
The long trip back home in terrible traffic was much longer, but I didn't care. I spent most of it looking in the rear view mirror at Buddy sleeping soundly in his crate. Before we left, he got in the crate, told me, he was hitting the sack, he had done his part, now he told me to deal with the traffic and to wake him up when we got home, With an expected steak dinner!!!!
Thanks Buddy for one of the best days of my life
Thanks everyone for letting me tell my story
Bob N Buddy
I love when the story accompanies the picture, it automatically makes a picture that much better, and often worth more than the proverbial 1,000 words. And I particullarly like this one. As a hunter and a dog lover, this one is close to hone. Congrats to you and Buddy.
Congratulations to both you and Buddy! I know how much work, time and effort can go into earning this honor, great job to you - and you do owe Buddy that steak.
Congratulations Bob and Buddy! Next up, Master Hunter! It's been years since I had the privilege of running hunt tests with my Golden, Seamus. I had to put him down last October, at 15 1/2. I wish you many more years of success and fun with Buddy.
