Beautiful shot Jim. You really had a productive trip to NM/4-corners. The sky is amazing. I'm not looking at this on a calibrated monitor and will check again when I get home, but the foreground strikes me as a just a bit too warm for my taste.
I am glad you like it! The foreground could be too warm to some eyes, it is definitely warm. But I did for my final processing actually desaturate the foreground by 10% and added a touch of blue to it. So I guess I can say it was even warmer while I was processing it. I probably need to wait till I print this to see if I cool it off anymore.

Great and wonderful capture. I have driven by this a few times and never saw the light like this.
Glad you liked it John. If you had seen my previous threads, I knew there was going to be clouds for sunrise and that there was a very good chance they would light up, and they did. It made for a great start of my day.

Hey Jim:
You lost that little bush that was in the foreground on the black & white version, but the colors in the sky are just so sweet..... I'm going to go with the color version as my favorite.
Very nice!
Tex
Thanks Tex! Yeah, I lost that bush, with the idea being I really just wanted that cool caked dirt in the lower left to set off the foreground. I thought it made for a good interest to compliment the look of Shiprock in the rear.
