IMHO post processing has changed photography like oil paints did to painting in the 14th and 15th century. Allowing painters to realize their vision even more so with the advent of enhanced saturation and depth as well as a much broader range of opacities and transparency. You should hear the criticisms Tempera painters ranted about oil back in the day! And acrylics? Don't get me started! The texturing and building of quick fast low vapor free art on any medium one so chooses... sounds in league with HDR ! ( ok, bad comparison )
I feel empowered with the current tools at our disposal. The ability to create and convey, to story tell, to share our vision has never been better...
