Congrats on the new hobby....where's the after photo of the merganser riveted with
bullet holes....oh, you mean stationary target with bulls eyes and such and not wee birds. I tried sporting clays once last year....ashamed to say, no clays were harmed....at least not very many. My daughter, on the other hand, wiped out a whole flock of clay pigeons.
Welcome back, glad we left the light on for you
Eric
No no, only shooting things that don't move on their own! In high school I reloaded about 300+ rounds of shotgun shells weekly to shoot clay pigeons on the weekend with two buddies, I had two mechanical throwers and we shot til we ran out of ammo or clay birds
Yes, you can shoot a whole 'box' of pigeons at once if you are not careful
The new hobby is good mental challenge, making a good bullet doesn't make you a good shot, much like having a good lens doesn't make you a photographer. Now I have to put it all together Ohhhh boy the little things there are to learn about the insides of revolvers from the old timers is fascinating!
Take care and keep the flow going Eric, lots of great stuff from you I see

Karl, Great image and know how easy it is to drift away,
hopefully you'll be able to do both, it would be a huge loss to the forum without you http://www.pic4ever.com/images/sigh.gif

By the time I get done buying guns and other related components I might be able to sell them off for big Canon
I'll be hanging around when time permits........................thanks

Karl
Man can not live by photography alone. It's great to have other interests, especially the kind where you get to acquire all the accutrements that go with it. So if I need advise about my Beretta, and can go to you?

That's a terrific, dreamy image, Karl. Like the merg is bursting through sky and clouds. Welcome back!
Don't forget this shooting hobby, it's considerably less dangerous than your other one.
This is a shot from a most memorable outing and I was just poking around the other day and it caught my eye in and abstract way. Glad you liked it!
As we know it is us humans that are dangerous

Awesome to hear of your love for the hobby too. I laugh when I buy a nice classic revolver, I always equate it to what lens I could have bought Always learning no matter what it is keeps my mind busy and I enjoy the challenges.
Great to hear from you and a kind thanks for the acknowledgement buddy......

Fantastic. I love these duck images where the boundary between the water and sky are seamless like this. The action is fantastic with all the right parts tack sharp. -Mike
