This is from along the Big Sur coastline just north of Cambria that I took back in the beginning of December. It was a new area with several sea stacks, an area I will for sure be returning to in the future;
Very nice, I like the movement in the water, and the brightness of the sun without blowing out the color. The most striking aspect for me, is the white clouds between you and the sunset. Nice processing.
Very nice shot Jim. Great comp, beautiful colors and the perfect SS to convey the motion of the water, but yet it did not turn it into fuzzy silk. Definitely worth some return trips!
Great shot Jim. You sure got a nice sky that evening and you captured those highlights perfectly. Love that section of coastline from Cambria up through Big Sur!

Glad you liked it Jim. I like shutter speeds that result in water like this, slow enough to give the feeling of motion, yet fast enough to still have detail in the water.
Nice catch at Big Sur. I haven't luck with my Big Sur shots. Kept getting skunk light. This is really nice. I like the water movement, the way it fans out like that. Colors are wonderful.
Excellent image, Jim. My one thought regarding composition is that I'd like to see the image shifted just a bit to the right as it feels a bit off centered now. With that said, the processing is absolutely nailed. The clouds are bright and beautiful while being natural and full of texture. Really nicely done. The way the light is playing on the beautifully textured water is so enjoyable to look at. Overall, I'm quite liking this one.
Wonderful job with the sky, water movement is just right, and I like the subtle light reflecting off the rock at the lower 1/3 left side. One of your best...Kevin
