Thanks. It depends. The one with the guy and the bear behind him (04) I saw him as I was starting to walk by on the sidewalk outside the bar. The bar had the windows all pulled open and just as I started to walk past he shifted in the same position as the painting on the wall behind him. Just as I got to the right spot on the sidewalk to put him and the bear in the right relationship I pushed the shutter and as soon as I took the photograph he shift again. So there was a photograph for only a fraction of a second.
The photo of the boy looking at the Gap (08) poster I saw the poster and waited a few minutes and hoped something would happen. Just as he leaned over and looked to see what I was looking at he blew a bubble and I pushed the shutter.
(01) I was walking past these two woman locked in a conversation and just as I raised the camera to my eye the woman on the woman lifted her right hand and made a pinching gesture and pointing right at the woman in the window . At that moment the woman in the window looked up and I took the picture.
I am always prefocused and I always have my exposure preset for just such momnets.
