A few recent images from the Desert Southwest. No big story here on how bears chased me through the meadow or how my truck flew off a cliff when it was hit by a small landslide. Just a few images to enjoy.
If I were to choose a favorite, which is what everyone seems to do, I'd go with the Alien Sunrise as my first choice, and I'd pretty much go with the order in which you posted them, stunning to less stunning
These all look great, but the first two stand out to me. The lines and angles of the landforms, and how they match the lines and angles of the clouds, are what stands out to me in the first image (not to mention the great light and colors). On the second image, the framing of the clouds and the layers in the landscape are what set that apart for me. Thanks for sharing these!

I'm primarily a contributor in the N&W Forum, but visit here often to look at the beautiful landscape images of those that produce windows into nature... you are one of those Klaus.
Your vision and compositions are incredibly well seen, because of that, your images make me stop to really see all that you have included in the window.
Equally important and impressive are your excellent processing skills... light, color, contrast make each image look as beautiful and as natural as it should be.
Masterful work that I always enjoy, and I'll be looking forward to the windows of nature you find this year.
Thank you all so very much. Happy you were able to enjoy these images.

So you've noticed photographers are better storytellers then fisherman too eh?
Its funny, but rarely do I have these insanely crazy stories to go with my images. Damn, I am a boring dude. Perhaps this year I will have some crazy stuff happen while Im out shooting to write about

A good story can enhance an ordinary image!
++ for bear stories...
Craig, Indeed. They can and do. Unfortunately these things rarely happen when I'm out shooting except for the three time I had lightning strike within 100 feet of me or the time a 300lb Bear was in the back of my truck at 3am as we slept 7 feet away Guess I could include those things when they do happen. Figure nobody really cares anyway.
