Your stuff is always amazing and thanks for bringing us along in the journey. Sometimes your photos is like living scenes from Lord of the rings movies
Arthur, there are so many likeable details in this image. My most favorite are sweet color reflections, and repeating semi-round patterns of wave and boulders on foreground, and mountain on the background
Many thanks for all comments and votes. I will be going there again.....probably in August 2015.....Informing you just in case somebody wished to check physically where/how I took this photo
The depth in this is just awesome. Great light and processing, too. I might've left a tad more breathing room between the falls in the FG and the left side of the frame, but not a big deal. Fine work.
Answer to Kory's comment: I wish there was a stable ground for me to move myself and as a consequence the composition a bit more towards the left side. I couldn't move or I would be in the water. Being wet would be pretty problematic in the Arctic conditions I was balancing on a slippery stone in the water. This is the best I could do under the circumstances.
The photo is stunning, great work! I'm wondering what kind of lens did you use to get that kind of depth of field? If you used a regular lens (not a tilt), then what ISO and F-stop, if you remember? Everything is really sharp, both close up and far away.
Thank you all very much.
Thank you Bill, I used Nikon 14-24mm lens for this shot. To cover entire DOF, I blended by hand 2 images in PS. Other technical info: two shots for DOF 14-24mm@24mm, f/11, ISO 64, 1/4sec.
