I don't live close to home anymore, so it is always nice to spend some quality time with my dad. Here are a couple from yesterday in the garage.

This is just one of the garage. I am excited to do more work with this backdrop. I am sure I will have years of getting to know all the little nooks and crannies of this garage. I also posted a b&w version in that forum.
These are really great! They are truly classic, and I mean that with all sincerity.
You need to print these and share them with family.
Before you do, I would drop the exposure just a tad, on the second photo, on your dad's left side of his face. Not much, but bring down the hot spots a little. His right side is perfect.
I can not get over the lines of the walls in the garage in the first image. For me, they frame your father perfectly. Fantastic. And, I love the apple box, too. Handsome man, great images.
Love 'em. Makes me miss my dad.
I like the head and shoulders, and looking at the first one, wonder how that look he has would appear
as a head and shoulders shot.
Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. Has been a super nice weekend which I will have some nice shots to remember it by and to share. Looking forward to seeing how the film turns out as well.
I love number 2. It's kinda odd how as I get older I am growing to a point that I truly love my father. He was the meanest person I knew in my teens but now he is becoming my "bestest" friend. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent. Your dad looks like a guy I would like to meet, which to me means you did a great job of making these portraits. Keep making his picture for as long as you can.
