Great shots ! Could you share the processing used with the 3200 iso files. Mine look a bot noisier than yours do . Thanks

Thanks. I take the Noise Luminance slider down 25 - 50 in ACR. If necessary, I apply Neat Image to the jpeg on the background or whole image depending on the image.

Spectacular! (even by your lofty standards)

How about use the new 'cross posting' and put these up on Nature?

Thanks, Charles. X-posted them.

So Tony, I see this combo is for sale, can you tell us what you are going to be shooting with? Did you sell your 1d IV? Your bird photos taken with the 1d IV have really made me want that body. Just when I think I'll get the mk IV, you post terrific images from the 7dII and I get confused all over again!

Great stuff Tony, 1/20s photo of Juvie was on a tripod or handheld? Remarkable shots.

Thanks, John. Shooting with the 1D4 & 100-400 II, but still have the 7D2.

Can this lens be recommended even for the money they ask for it ?
That question really begs for an answer in this "review".

Because all of those images range from soft to very soft. However, I obviously can't even begin to guess why is that so.....is it the shooting technique, the lens, the camera, or a combination of all that ? Unfortunately, this lens (or camera ?) "review" doesn't go into that.

What review are you commenting about?

If it is Tony's examples your talking about you need to get your monitor calibrated.

Obtuse. Nowhere did I ever suggest it was any kind of review. I simply posted samples so others might enjoy seeing examples from a combo that they might wish to know about. Guess certain people can't accept such a simple sharing experience.

I was greatly surprised to find that Ken Rockwell has reviewed the Tamron 150-600 - and even more surprised that he's very positive about it! Usually he would not touch third party lenses with a ten foot pole, AND if he had to, he would scream in indignation to high heavens.
Anyhoo...
