Well, for me the 3rd quarter had me experiencing my most memorable wildlife encounter ever. This black bear. I don't expect to duplicate it. Everything came together, all by accident (in a way). A whole three minutes of shooting, just me and this fellow, perfect wildflowers and setting sunlight...

I didn't get out much at all the 3rd quarter so the pickins were slim but I managed a short trip on my birthday and who can argue with an eagle on your b-day. I guess I would call this one a Brief Detente.
