My goodness, what marvelous shots !!! Here is a male Ruby Throated Hummingbird. This is from March 2014 . One of my favorites, as this is the first adult male that I spotted in 2014.
I am really looking forward to all the shots that will be posted.
Impressive postings thus far...........I would think anyone taking a first visit to this thread or first visit to FM and finding this thread would be overwhelmed..................I know I am!

I'm off to Africa on Tuesday and hopefully will have some great photos to choose from for Q4 2014.

PS I didn't shoot any wildlife before that, but here is a photo from April - June when I was in Turkey. It has both nature (the beautiful natural rock formations) and "wildlife" (if you look carefully, I am in the photo; I set up the tripod early in the AM with a remote and then scrambled over to the rocks to get into the picture at sunrise).

That's exactly what happened to me last year. I saw the 2013 "best of" thread and was amazed by all of the great images. I was hooked. I signed up for FM and have been trying to improve ever since. It's a high bar to reach...
I always look forward to this post every year and so far it is off to a great start.
Here is my favorite shot from the 1st quarter of 2014. I have not been shooting as much this year as years past and I hope to fix that problem this next year. Looking forward to picking a few more to post in the weeks to come.
