This photo is a 6 second exposure taken with a tripod. I started out at the 55 mm end of the lens, trip the shutter and would zoom and stop, fro a fraction of a second, then continue to zoom stopping several times during the exposure. The photos was taken -1 ev to help reduce the bright lights from the tree trying to keep the highlights from being blown out.
