Nice.
SB-910 works better. SB-900 over heating had issue while burst.

Hi Sritri,

If you used flash, you would have a bit more light on the shady side and some catch light in the eyes. The risk with flash on a raptor is that there light colored retna will reflect back at you which is very hard to fix so keep the power down.

I agree with Steve, you are better off with an SB910 as it has overheat protection. I melted a SB800 firing it too frequently.

That is a beautifle photo

Morris

It was a cold snowy day, so I did what I could considering there was no light..

Even went to the beach 10 degrees with the wind chill. Best time to crawl around with some Dunlin..

Really enjoying these images - the lens looks like a real winner when in the right hands

It'll probably be my next purchase.

Great images, Kristopher.

Received mine yesterday. Spent some time checking AF, seemed snappy and fast. Looked to be no need for AFMA, will see tomorrow.

Here's my first day out with Tamron 150-600mm.
It was early morning, still some fog, made kite's images soft even after sharpening applied. I liked the warm morning glow on Kite's belly.

I find this lens works great with good light, at close distance and when the object is stationary. Moving targets or distant objects are a little hard for me to get sharp images, operator error. I wouldn't compare this to Nikon 500mm/4 VR I sold, but I paid way below what I sold Nikon 500. If you've got great long lens technic, you'll be very happy, IMO.

These are very nice as well as sharp. I am looking for a longer lens for wildlife photography. This lens is certainly on my radar now. - Phil

Thanks Robb. I think I'm keeping my Tamron and cancel Sigma.

I think I am going to go with the Tamron and pass on the Sigma! Cant see where I would need the extra 800.00 worth of lens!

Thanks Sritri.
Here's a few SOOC images at close range under good light, heavy crop & resized to 1000 pixel wide.

Have you got more BE shots? The closest BEs are some 300miles from me.

I am lucky in that respect Steve. But just in winter though. I hardly get any small avian friends in warmer weather
