Thank you, Herb. I used the 1.4x less than 20% of the time. Especially in the forest, shooting was fairly tight, and the light was tough enough so that losing the stop of light wasn't worth it.
Never got that close to a cock of the rock. Did you go on a tour or self guided trip?
