Scott - loving the second one and the pano. Still want to get up there. Do you like the fall the best? Would spring give good snow cover and also wild flowers at lower elevations?

A very grand landscape indeed. I think because of the expanse of the scene, it really pays to go the whole hog and produce a panorama. You then fall into the scene and become enveloped by it.

Is the large peak too centred? I'm not too worried, there are dynamic elements that keeps the eye moving, possibly if you clipped a little off the right it might work a teensy bit better.

I don't have so much an engagement with the first image, besides being an obviously beautiful thing, photographically it doesn't grab my attention.

Great sense of the place in that last shot Scott. I also really like that close up.

dgdg: Glad you like the pano. It was a fantastic couple of days. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Ian Boys: You are on the path to fun and adventure. I love landscape for just taking me to places in hours that no one else is around. And I have met so many cool people while doing it. Its as much about the adventure as the pictures. Glad you like them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

ramdisk: Glad you like the pano. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Dennis M 1064: Glad you like the shots. It was a fun couple of days. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

JimKied: The 3rd week in September is the peak of the larch color. However, it can snow and be very cold. Early July has risk of the routes being still covered and more mosquitoes - I would still go then but realize it. Late July/ early August will have lots of wildflowers, all trails open, and great views and great temperatures. And February can be spectacular in 10' of snow. So no bad times but I go last week in September and March. Glad you like the 2nd and pano. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

JaneG: The large mountain in the centre is Sunburst mountain. I was really trying for Assiniboine as the central theme thus Assiniboine is not centered, however I hear what you say and will try some different crops. Thanks for the detailed suggestion and honesty on 1. Much appreciated. Scott

Jfarmer: Glad you like 1 and pano. It is a beautiful place. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Fantastic set Scott. This makes me want to go there. Pano looks great but I think darkening the bright parts of the snow in the middle and a little in the corners would improve the photo. #1 is a fantastic portrait of the mountain.

Scott,

Terrific shots! Assiniboine is an impressive place - don't understand why it is not a national park - surely one of Canada's jewels.

Very nice, Scott. I think the panorama does great justice to the magnificent setting.

Ed Swift: The rockies are fantastic but I always conclude that you have to live in a place to know when to go and where to go and you have to go back several times, until you are happy. I am sure you are understating your pictures. Glad you like mine. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

nwadventurer7: Glad you like them. We walked up to the Nublet the first night but the wind was blowing so hard that it almost blew us over the cliff. But I am waiting for the nice day to stay up over night as you suggest. Until that day Assiniboine will not be complete. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

B Landau: It is a national Jewel. But then so is Kananaskis and it is not a National Park. And to the south is Top of the World.... This is an awesome area. Glad you like the pictures. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Foggy14: Glad you like the panorama. It is a fantastic place and it works well if you can talk some friends into hiking in the dark. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

A marvellous set of shots. I can't really pick a favourite. I think they're all so different and beautiful in their own way, which makes them work togethes so well.
