The first image is a fabulous piece of work. You didn't need to add the other image, it dilutes my experience of enjoying the other one, which strongly stands on it's own.

Very nice. Didn't you post something similar in a past?
Sasha.
Sasha, Thanks. Yes, I posted and image from Folly Beach that has a similar tree...but nothing from Botany Bay as this was my first time there.

Hey Travis!
The first is in its own league!
The second is kinda nice but really doesn't do much after the impact the first makes...
:-)

Thanks. I agree, the first is stronger, I probably should have let it stand on its own.

Travis .... Great shots. Botany bay is on my list to visit in Spring, that area are lot of opportunities with plantations, light house etc.
Thanks. It is such a cool place, I waited a long time to get to go there. I have to get back, hopefully with better light.

Thanks Jeffrey, yeah, as said, I should have left the second off...

I really like these images.
I need to visit this place.
How do you access it? By foot or vehicle?
Thank you. It is mostly by vehicle to the parking area. Then a short hike of maybe 1/2 mile, flat, gravel path...very easy. I don't know how local you are to it, but check the website for closures. Right now it is closed most of the time through the fall for various reasons...mostly hunting.

FWIW... The South Carolina DNR website is helpful for anyone interested.
Might give it a try this weekend or next.
Should I consider the tides?
I'll have to break out the 4x5 for this trip.
There a lot of unique DNR properties across the state.
Get there early and absolutely consider the tides. You want it to be coming in so that you can shoot with the trees on the beach and as the water comes in...it will push you in all the way off the beach. Just make sure the place is open on the website.

Interesting to see that someone else likes #2...its a sentimental image to me, I wondered if anyone else would connect with it at all...thanks for taking the time.

I appreciate you taking the time Aaron, glad you like it. It is those less than perfect times that force us to become more creative...this was certainly one of those times!
