I met Steph outside a coffee shop on 17th avenue ... one of the three popular "in places" in Calgary. After a bit of a conversation, I took a few snap shots of her. We decided that we really should get together for a serious shoot ... she liked the idea of a Helmut Newton or a Ellen von Unwerth inspired theme. She does have a good expressive range (on some other snaps) -- maybe this is because she is Yorksire girl
Hopefully, I can get my stylist friend Kat to do the needed wardrobe style and a good MUA for hair/makeup. It could be an exciting shoot
Steph no doubt is beautiful, but IMO, her eyes in all three pictures display melancholy. I think # 1 and capture her classic beauty and #3 give her an even more removed and entirely different look. I think all three are well done.
Digging the first shot as well. Rarely have I engaged in a conversation with a stranger as a potential model. I think it's amazing you're able to move forward with human interaction in today's highly technologically focused world. I find it easier to communicate through text sometimes, but wish I had the ability to engage without frighten. Look forward to your shoot with her.
Thanks for all of the comments. As it turns out, we are going to do a simple test shoot, possibly shop for some wardrobe (at a second hand vintage place), and then attack the real project
