Going to buck the color trend a bit with a few images from my last trip to Colorado a couple of weeks ago. The weather cooperated nicely for my infrared shooting plans.
Based myself in Ouray and Rigway and shot everything in the San Juan mountains.
All of the images were shot with an IR modified Sony a7r and Nikon 14-24mm lens. The shot "The Other Side" was a quick two image pano in the rain on my last day up there.
Hope you all can enjoy them
Going to throw in a color sunset shot while on the trip as well. Had to do it

Klaus, it takes some remarkable talent to "see" the beauty in the IR world. You have it, I don't. Nice job as usual. I will say, however, I do love the Sneffels shot at the end.

Thanks Dave, AMaji and Dan for your comments. Much appreciated and happy you have enjoyed them. Not everyone likes IR and glad you all have enjoyed them.

Really cool, I love Ouray. #2 and #5 are my favorites. Did you make it to Animas Forks? I hope you made it to Ouray Brewing too.
Thanks and didn't make it up the Animas Forks this trip but will be up that way in the next couple of weeks. Didn't make it to Ouray Brewing either Next time!

Wonderful work as always Klaus. You've got me really wanting to convert one of my cameras to IR but I can't sacrifice one of them since I still shoot weddings ; ) One day!! Keep up the inspiring work.

Jordan
Jordan, Thanks and give it a try if you ever switch bodies and have an extra one to convert. You may enjoy shooting IR.

These are gorgeous Klaus. If you don't mind sharing, who did the IR conversion, and are you displeased with any part of it?
Thanks AJ and it was done by Lifepixel. I had the deep IR conversion done on the a7r. Loving it! I have yet to find anything I don't like about it other than I wished it had come out a few years ago

Thanks everyone and you are all very kind.
Those of you that have open minds and can enjoy these have the visions of true photographers.
For me, I just love BW. Must be all those years of shooting film and the darkroom work that rubbed off on me
I would imagine that a good percentage of photographers on this forum have never touched a roll of BW film or have done any darkroom printing either.
Kinda sad it is becoming a lost art....
