Last night the fire was still burning heavily with layers of smoke glowing at sunset. I understand the fire is now largely contained and the smoke has diminished.
I really like this photo you took. I like the simple view of half dome, but the colors are really something. the subtle lit areas on half dome is great. My only nitpick is the inclusion of the split tree on the right but image is just too good to split hairs
That's gorgeous Jim. On my screen (not calibrated), the foreground trees are completely black. Personally, I would bring out some detail and color there. I'd also look to bring out just a hint of detail to the left of Half Dome too.
