I saw neighborboy's post with his family and thought I'd share some from my family's trip to Maui this August. It was the kids' first time somewhere tropical and on the first night I can't explain what I saw in them except complete fascination.
@Mitch - It was pretty amazing for them. I wish I could have captured my son's(maybe mine too) excitement at swimming with a giant turtle in Napili Bay. Just incredible.
@Corey - Thanks! I've been working on that dSLR selfie thing or I wouldn't exist with my kids. The water one with my my son bodysurfing, arms outstretched actually wrecked my d700. It was on it's last legs so I'm not too sad.
@David - Thanks man. I always dig your sets. I've been having a tough time with processing and I can honestly say that shooting in Hawaii is like using the Contra cheat code for infinite lives. Just ridiculous.
@Chuck - Thanks. I love that one too. Alison is so camera aware so I'll take what I can get =)
@Charles - Thanks! Yeah, that was one of the most intense rainbows I've seen. That was right before Maui was supposed to get hit by the hurricane that hit the Big Island. We didn't see much on Maui though
Fantastic set, it reminds me of why/when I was bitten by the photography bug. Trips to Florida and Mexico got me started documenting family trips with our four daughters. Looks your family had a wonderful trip.
