I spent one night up at Mount Rainier National Park this last weekend. It was clear with no clouds for sunset. The sunrise was iffy, if you were looking at forecasts. Mountain weather has this way of changing really fast and being unpredictable.
Ohlala! that is a sweet duo of images. I love them both very much. The second one is stellar, love the classic vertical composition and the light is so so beautiful!
Gorgeous images, 2nd would be my favorite, love the color and slight tinges of morning color on the petals.
Really want to get out west at some point. Seems the only time we make it out is for skiing and would love to spend some time in the mountains during spring and summer.
I'm with everyone else here. Both images are beautiful. However, if I had to pick just one, I would have to go with #2. I can never get enough Mt. Rainier.
Beautiful shots! The orton effect looks a little heavy on the mountains in both shots though. You might try dialing that back a bit, as the mountains are a bit too "glowy", at least on my screen.

Thanks a lot. You can't go wrong any time of year. There's always something to point a camera at up here.

Just beautiful! The only thing that can be more beautiful is being there in person to see it.
It was a very nice way to wake up. Especially after a very pedestrian sunset.

Thanks! I think it's a bit of a taste thing. I work in Orton very early in the process and work it out with other adjustments. But overall I do want the images to have a bit of a painterly feel. With a deep focus stack like this (#2) the high detail can get pretty crispy at web sizes.

Stunning images Majeed. Both are great but the 2nd is my fav. Is it a focus stack?
Yeah, it is! 6 shots for focus. Believe it or not, each shot was taken a 1/3s shutter speed. There was no wind. If there was the slightest breeze I would've been totally screwed. I was kinda being silly, but it worked out.
