Love love love this shot...it breaks some rules by having the butt on the viewer's left leaving the frame but the two other fliers balance that and make this work to perfection. As Tim says, this works on so many layers. So much is going on but it's not busy it's just a pleasure to view.
Eric
Wow Ed, this really is a magnificent shot. There are so many layers and points of interest but my eyes still go immediately to the main subject. Well done
Tim
Thanks for the feedback, Tim. If I had only gotten a bee in this one, I'd tell you they were using our mass transit system, and were all taking the 'B' line.

Thank you, Tam. Love shooting around this area. Such a short window when this is in bloom down here.

LOVE it Ed. 4 species in action, rock on!

Hi, Phil. Pretty lucky to have it all come together on once. I knew that I would get three. The blue mud dauber was quite a nice surprise. Thanks for the remarks.

Thanks, Ron. Much easier to find than those shy bears at Alligator River.

Wow! The detail on that swallowtail is super. And the other insects in the background.
That is Joe-Pye-Weed……is it not? I just planted JPW on my property because it is native across America and it is a big attractor of butteflies.
Super shot Ed.
Thanks for the kind remarks, Robert. This is definitely milkweed. Found an article on line that compares it against the Joe-Pye-Weed, Very similar. This stuff grows wild here, and loves low wet areas near ponds, and rivers.

That shot is incredible Ed! How the heck did you herd all those bugs into your picture? I gotta get me some of that weed. Very well done.
Hi, Ken. Thank you. Just a lot of luck. There were quite a few butterflies fluttering back and forth amongst the milkweed. Set up focus on a popular spot, and this is what I ended up with. Probably a once in a lifetime shot for me.

Fun shot Ed, cool traffic pattern I heard there was a shortage on milkweed plant last year? I've let a few grow wild in my flower beds to help
Nice one at that focal length buddy! The colorful flower tops are a nice element

Hey, Karl. Hope you are doing well. Appreciate the feedback.

Thank you kindly, Morris. Hope you find some. Some people have told me they seem to be more scarce this summer. Now sure what going on.
