Very nice. How are the bears during your early or late lakeside shoots?
I like the comp in 3 the best, but the skies in 4.
The milky way should rise over that low saddle on the right!

You mean like this. I went out on thursday night but the moon was a bit too bright. I need to go back and try again, in a darker night with the bears. So I am not sure I am happy with the picture. Sometimes you have to look at it a few days later to decide. You tell me.
We walked right by a grizzly on the trail to Helen Lake later in the day without noticing him. Too busy puffing up the hill. Glad you like 3. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.
lol... there it is. If I'm lucky, I'll be there in June next year. Always wonder what is imprudent if by oneself for an hour or more on the shoreline like that.
I was out with Mitesh a couple weeks ago at Cape Hatteras North Carolina for a new moon. He recently purchased the new version of the Ioptron Skytracker that has both azimuth and zenith adjustments built in. He put his 1Dx on it and a B55 ballhead which is quite a load. I forget the lens. Anyway, his results with wide field views were very good. It is much faster to set up than the Polarie or Astrotrac and quite small. It wants to hold your A7R. I think it took us maybe an extra 5-10 minutes before we reviewed his first tracked shot . The polar aligning app is quite slick.
Really nice Scott! I was also at Bow lake that day but it was later morning and it was packed with tourists. I also made the mistake of going to Peyto which was even more crowded. I have never seen a line up so big at the park gates.... Any way, I really like your pics - especially the first and last one. It can be difficult to get a good composition at Bow Lake at times.
Sweet images Scott, third is my favorite. I miss the snow on mountains I remember first time I visited this area mid June in 2010 it looked so different and much prettier. Is Namtuja lodge closed?
Hello Scott, nice shots it seems like it's been along time since we've been out together. My favorite is number 3 with the flowers in the foreground.
What has happened to " Scott and Dan's Amazing Adventures" ?😀😀

Gary Clennan: The tourists seem to arrive around 8am. The same with Peyto. Glad you like the pictures. Hopefully we run into each other sometime soon. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
tjny: Na Tim Ja lodge is open until October. They tell me they did some renovations in the rooms. I like the winter but September is best. Glad you like number 3. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Dan Heitman: You have to stop atv'ing and breaking collar bones and ribs to get out again. Glad you like 3. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
kwilliam8: It seems like a consensus that 3 is best. Glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
I like them contrails and all, Scott. Reinforces my desire to get up to Canada someday. I had an opportunity to go to Banff, but it fell through. Appreciate all the info that you provided. I definitely plan to put it to use some time soon.
