This is Buckwheat, he's the king of the castle. His hobbies include waking everyone up at 5am to get food, running up and down the stairs at full speed for no apparent reason, chewing on any un-guarded piece of crinkly plastic sheeting, and being my little buddy. He's the standard photo subject to test out new equipment, a task which he reluctantly puts up with.
It's a good thing we have cats, it gives us willing subjects when we get a new lens. Here with my Sigma 50 Art. Shot is SOOC JPG, just a little crop and resize, a little overly warm from some incandescent light.
I just had one subject that was a little TOO willing to pose, he was up against the lens as I attempted to take shots of two other cats. VR doesn't quite take care of cat rubbing lens action

The cat is a "Scottish Fold".
When I saw this post my first thought was my 'Sneezy' was moonlighting for photo shoots. The ears ears dead give away they are different but maybe second cousins. This gal is my best buddy and always has a big greeting for me when I return home.
This little guys name is Jack. He's about 5 weeks old. His mother died so my neighbors are raising him until he's old enough to be put up for adoption. His eyes are like little opals. He is so damn cute. I'd adopt him myself but I'd be living in the garage if I did.
Bet that threat would melt as soon as those eyes were seen.

Finally, a photo of two of my cats
One of your cats doesn't look very happy Laura...
The only time I've lived with two cats, the first cat in the house was eternally unhappy with the interloper who arrived later. My friend Rinie, whom you know, experienced the same thing when her second cat arrived. In my case, the two cats never did more than tolerate one another. Rinie's pair it is unclear whether they're playing or fighting...
This is the cat I grew up with... I found its mother abandoned in an adjacent field, covered with oil. Someone got rid of her when they found she was pregnant. This cat arrived when I was five and died when I graduated from high school. What a beauty! This is a photo of an other photo from an album my mother created decades ago.
As you can tell from the photo I'm using as an avatar, I love cats...
