Sorry my responses are so infrequent (and I have not gotten to a lot of the comments or questions yet). This photo literally went viral on the net, and I can not explain how time consuming that has been. I am also on the road about a month without a single day off doing workshops back to back from Washington to Oregon to Nevada, to Utah and Arizona. I usually am in and out of coverage and the only communications I can muster are some short texts on my phone sleeping in the back of my car once in a while. But I will be back home for a bit the first or second week of September. I will jump on it then.
No doubt you can't hear a new word written or said to describe this image Mark, but it seems power incarnate to me. Congratulations on your hard work and vision
I came out of hibernation (lurking) to comment on this captivating image. Indeed your perseverance paid off!
What I find most captivating about this image is the face I see in it. It stands out a bit more at thumbnail size, but the lighting just comes together so supernaturally. When I first saw it, I was convinced you put together a composite specifically for that effect, only to find that it's the natural light. I'm lovin' it! (...the picture, I hate McDonald's)
Thank you all. I have finally come back to civilization from 3 weeks of consecutive tours. After resting up a bit I will begin addressing the questions here. I appreciate all the feedback and encouragement.
I see something different everytime I view your image Mark!
Just absolutely amazing! I hope you entered this in Outdoor Photographys contest! I better win because I have not seen much this close to absolutely breathtaking!

Thank you Dan.
Unfortunately I have been off the grid leading workshops all over the NW and SW and missed the contest! Next time!

Yo Mark ... damn, dude. What a shot. I like to provide really long and constructive critiques, but this one would only be positive. Love it.
Yes Chris! I agree and it is sometimes just plain too hard to express the right feeling for an image. All the exulations in the dictionary sometime just don't exprees how I/we feel when we see an image that leaves me breathless!!
