That's been within about $25 of the normal price in Canada, for weeks now, if not months. My "special deal" was $429 CA, vs. $469 CA ($425 US). That's still half of the $850 US price for the X-E2.
Anyway, the price isn't the message. The IQ is the message.

It's currently C$559 with the 18-55mm IS STM lens. The lens retails for C$279.95, which makes the cost of the SL1 just C$280 - which is about the same as a used X-E1 is worth.
