I just picked up my D810 purchased second hand. I have just had the sensor cleaned and first shot with the lowly 50 f/1.8 This is Steven, my service tech who had just finished the job.

The D810 is a superb camera, but the D750 is excellent in so many ways too. Both have different style of images and for portraits I do love the "fat" 24MP pixels of the D750. I know many refer to the D750 as not truly pro, but it is a wonderful option as the size/weight is one of smallest FF DSLR available. The D810 is more polished/refined but it is larger/heavier.
I intend to keep both as my FF options for now. Both I purchased second hand for less 1/2 the normal cost, so they are excellent value. I was not keen to buy new, as there will no doubt some new models soon in 2017. What I do love about the Nikon system are the lenses as you have so many options. The D versions are so good too.
I was almost going to joke about who has copyright on that first one, but looking at it again I just get lost in the deep soul filled eyes. Really intimate/powerful shot. A keeper for sure.
And that last one, nice. I see zebra shots often converted well to BW but what you did is so pleasing. Bravo!
