Thirty (30) days ago I made an observation/prediction which will soon come true and I have enjoyed seeing this thread grow, even though I have not read much of the speculation posted.
I think it would be best if everyone were to sit back and relax, stay inside and watch TV while monitoring FM.
With everyone safe and sound I won't have to contend with traffic and crowds and I can take my time setting up shots.

This thread isn't as large as some of the other 7d2 threads on other boards based on the predictions of canonrumors cr1 announcements back in may or so, but certainly is more entertaining.
Canonrumors says 7D2 will have 1D build and specced extremely well. No Wifi though. If I get a mini-1DX then I'll gladly give up the Wifi. Does Canon dare release this with a vertical grip like the 1D?
This new 7DII will be just wonderful:
High speed and high resolution and great ISO ... all at the same time.
We then have the 1-series body, the 1-saeries AF system, 4K video, etc., etc..
OMG, this will be the best camera ... ever. I can't wait.

Heck, stick an Exmor-like sensor a 1Dx-cropper and I'd give up Nikon and not look back.

I was hoping for better high ISO then that. DXO has it at half the 1DX and almost half the 5D3.
The leading APS-C sensors are about equal to the leading FF sensors on a per-area basis, so that's about the best that can be hoped for with current technology, ie 1.3x stops worse than FF.
Pricing, SMRP...IMHO pricing will be about 2K or higher and available in one of these three configurations.
- $1999.99, body without add-on grip; uses LP-E6 battery
- $2399.99, body with add-on grip, uses LP-E6 batteries; it may be even $50/100 higher
- $2499.99, body with integrated grip; like 1D series body with 1D like battery

How about the sensor from the A6000 in that body for about $2,000? I'd order one.

So that would be better than current Canon 1D-X, correct?
I wish they would just release the specs now and then introduce it to be seen in sept, the waiting is a pain, its a toss up between whatever they have on offer and a 1DIV for me, my 7D is almost dead now
