shekarn64 - I do have a landscape version, however it wasn't as dynamic since there is a lot of bare spots and the ridges didn't add to the photo. And I don't like portrait orientation nearly as much ...

I can't imagine it getting any better than this Dustin. The warm light hitting the peak gave me a buzz I can't wait to see Prime time. The depth of this shot is tremendous. The flowers look sharp and so does the peak. Great job!
I think the colours and light are really well captured but I have a feeling that you haven't realised the full potential of the scene. It's a very good image but not a great image.
Maybe it's because I don't get a cohesion between the foreground mid section and sky.
I'm going to have a good think about what I am finding lacking and get back to you...of course you might disagree and that's obviously fine.. It's my response to the image that I find interesting to work out

Thanks for the words . This area is really amazing - the amount of destruction and regrowth in the short amount of time.
Down the hill a bit, the flowers seem to be a bit better. I may scout this area more in the coming weeks. I agree that the mid ground is kinda boring, so with more flowers, I could get lower and perhaps git rid of the mid ground. .
