Finally, a woman and not a plastic mannequin.... Skin with texture..a mole..those EYES! I can see her "soul" in this. The subtle soft-focus in the lower part of the shot.
Thank you for the comments! She is one of my all-time favorite clients and models. Her bridal session was pretty amazing, and not really because of anything I did.
Extremely fine. This is truly a portrait. Wonderful character - charming personality. I don't see how you could have missed it when you went through the images before

It was a session where I was working on this specific idea based on Steichen's early work for Conde Nast, and got tunnel-vision on one idea. This shot was almost an out-take, playing around outside of the main goal of the session. So when I reviewed the negatives from the shoot, I was basically just looking to see if I ever realized that one main idea, and barely paid attention to any other images. With the advantage of hindsight, I prefer this shot significantly vs. the image I was originally hoping for. This was happy find when I was reviewing some of my older shoots.

Amen and hear hear. A timeless, beautiful photo that captures the subject, rather than using her as a prop.
Interestingly enough, this is exactly what was going on with that other shot.
