Last night I took yet another trip to a pond near my place in hopes of catching a sunset. Unfortunately it was way too windy for what I want. I want glass like reflections. Also. the sky at this time was mostly overcast so I decided to tour around instead of calling it a day. I ended up at a hill where you can see for what feels like forever. With the heavy winds and colder temps I thought I would leave the mosquito spray in the car! WHAT A DUMBASS MOVE!!! Even with the strong winds they were totally insane. I need a team people with vacuum cleaners all around me sucking those bastards up!!! All the hassles were worth it though. A crack in the sky that I was hoping would deliver some colour came through BIG TIME! The sunset went through many stages of colour but this is the stage I waited for when the top layer of clouds lit up with red/purples. I almost thought it wouldn't. Once again this is a multi image panorama shot in portrait and exposure blended. Would print large very nicely. There is simply too much colour in this scene for sRGB's piddly dynamic range—mostly noticeable in the top layer of clouds—so the image I'm posting is in AdobeRGB.
That is some insane color. It's like a rainbow cloud the way it's arching across the sky. I bet you weren't noticing any mosquitoes as those colors popped!
Crazy good light. I like the processing with the amount of foreground detail. Its hard to tell but it looks like some nice color reflected off the tree trunks on the right

Saw this off FB first. It was great then and still is now after a 2nd look . Great shot man, love the intense colors.
Do the differences in the color profile only show on monitors that are calibrated? I'm at work and I keep toggling back and forth between the two and I can't see any changes. I'm using chrome browser.

Thanks Jason.
It is subtle and mostly only noticeable in the "hightlight" of the top arc of red clouds. I am running a 30in IPS calibrated display and can see the difference switching from sRGB to AdobeRGB. Maybe it doesn't show on non-calibrated lower dynamic range monitors.

I'm back at home on my calibrated monitors and I see what you're saying.
