If any of you are interested, I have just uploaded my newest Fashion Editorial with the Gorgeous Maud Le Fort @ Marilyn Agency for SCMP and the Behind the Scenes Video.
Used the D800 and the 85mm f/1.8 G series lens wide open.

Beautiful model, and beautiful images.
However, after visiting the link you provided, I think the lighting is very inconsistent in many of the shots featured in your blog. I think many of your images could have been improved by using fill flash and/or reflectors.

Ben, these are terrific!! The clothes are amazing (I would wear All of them) and your style fits with the shoot well. I have a question for you if you don't mind: how did you achieved the flare at the bottom of the images? It's so smooth and even throughout all of them really helps frame the scene. Was this done in post? Thanks!

Shot at f/1.8 and did one of two things, but my hand in front of the lens where want the vignette located or used a small plastic water bottle as. Did both on this shoot.
I'll send you the bill, just tell me where to send it.

Thanks Ben! Super helpful ... I tried using something white before and it didn't work very well. The hand must provide that perfect warm tone. Very clever.

I try all kinds of stuff. Wait till next week for my Harper's BAZAAR story. Used a glass bottle. Produced some amazing and often uncontrollable artefacts. Had to be very careful.
