My wife and I took a mini vacation in New Orleans the past weekend. There was a 90% chance of rain last Friday but as I looked out the hotel window to catch the sunrise, I saw a hint of orange despite the dominant gray sky. With backpack and tripod in tow, I ran several blocks to the waterfront to see whether there was a chance that I can capture something dramatic.
Little did I know that there was the Monument to the Immigrants that added a story-telling element to the image. I can certainly relate to the sentiment being an immigrant myself several decades back. Hope you like the photo.
