Just so people dont think I'm ignoring Gary, I sent him a couple PMs
Thanks both of you. Im curious where you guys would crop the right side. I could definitely see cropping the bottom out halfway up my signature, so that the distance to the edge of frame from the first rock is even. I find that unless you completely crop the top trees out of the frame, the largest one gets way too close to the edge of the frame. And then if they were excluded completely, nothing in that corner keeps your eye from wandering out of the shot....Show more →
Cropping the right side was just suggestion in case you need to maintain the same aspect ratio for your print job.
If the aspect ratio does not matter, then I would only crop the bottom. (The right side adds a lot of interest to the image)

I would go for the bottom only, with even distance as you suggested...

Thanks again for the crop suggestions and compliments guys. I might end up cropping the bottom for print, because I dont frame my stuff anyways and having a perfect 3:2 aspect ratio isnt a huge deal.

It's just beautiful the green is all encompassing with a subtle soothing feel to it. I would love to learn how you do focus stacking.
Thanks. It isnt super difficult, but I did have a ton of practice stacking when I shot macro well before my landscape days. Macro stacks are much deeper, so landscapes are pretty easy to do in comparison. That is, unless things are moving
