p.15 #1 · Through Walter Mandler Glass (on FF Only)
Michiel, thanks for your contribution to this thread.
The FF note supposed to be a general guideline to ensure Mandler's lenses are shown corner to corner, but after all any example showing Walter Mandler's work are to benefit of FM-ers and others looking for examples of his legacy.
Looking forward to your post of showing outstanding captures, especially now with glass in question.

Thank you Jako, since my A7r is on repair I am dilligently searching for threads to place my Ricoh GXR images in, because that thread has been removed.
Still a nice camera, but the EVF is no comparison with the A7r.
Nice shot, but reminds of the witches cottages in Hansel and Gretel or at least that is what I always though it would look like--a cottage in the middle of the woods where it doesn't look like it belongs with windows that almost look like bars.

I've posted some of these in the A7 thread, sorry for reposting, but I think the Mandler theme is actually more useful for other people considering lenses:

Now that this thing is finally fixed and focusing properly, I will post an image I shot of my daughter today. I am going for a 19th century look minus the view camera, so I used an above-angle perspective and f/2 aperture to get the focus on the face. 90mm Summicron (pre-ASPH circa 1981) on an M240. Now that it works, I love this lens, particularly for portraits.
