^^^ Appreciate your input and I respect your opinion on this.
Certainly there is no point to even dispute difference of fractions of a millimeter. I also had no intention to ‘police’ this thread, but I edited the point you referred to while still encouraging posting images taken with FF cameras. You know, occasionally photographers crop their 36x24 images so this goes towards your argument
I am sure there is a number of great pictures taken with Mandler’s lenses on formats different than 35mm FF so posting them here can be to everyone’s benefit and viewing pleasure.
Looking forward to see your shots here, Brad. ...Show more →
Thanks, Jack. I appreciate it. If it helps any, I won't post anything from a smaller format, because I am with you. I love these lenses on a full-frame. But I do tend to crop portrait-oriented shots down to 5x7.
Just a couple of reposts to start. Tomorrow I'm going to use the TE-M 135/4 head for macros, so I'll post a couple of those once they're processed.
First from the Elmarit-M 28 vIII, then from the pre-A Lux-M 35.

On Thursday I tested Lux-r 80, Cron-M 90 and Zeiss MP 100 with test charts at various apertures. Zeiss just killed the two other lenses, especially WO across the frame. But so what?; Cron-m 90 being the softer one of the three gave me all detail I want and the look I was chasing.
I thought Lux R 80 is identical to the Lux M 75 right? I'm looking into getting one for the unique look,
what were your impressions?

You're right about the 75-80 Lux.
Apparently Mandler designed both lenses for 1980 Photokina and the 5mm focal difference between M and R versions was to accommodate 47mm flange distance of SLR mirror box. The 75 had to be smaller to clear RF finder, but still.
I’ve been getting some funky reflective flare with my bellows set up (a problem I think I’ve figured out how to solve) which I can mitigate with variations in framing, but I like this one. It reminds me of an album cover but I can’t remember which one.
