Visited this legendary location for the first time on Monday, and I now appreciate why people come back year after year after year. I remember reading a post from Karl last year about the challenges (changing light, foliage, for some reason they don't sit still) and rewards (beautiful tiny creatures) and believe both comments are understatements. Most of these were with the 500 + 2x, but if I had it to do all over again, I would probably have used the 1.4x most of the time for quicker AF and lived with larger crops.
Even on a Monday, parts of the boardwalk were packed, but I guess that's to be expected for the biggest week in american birding.
Comments, criticisms, advice all appreciated and thanks for stopping by.

#1 "Best" bird on a stick wasn't even a warbler (Gray-cheeked Thrush)
What a treat it must have been to just see these. You got some marvellous images here Greg. The middle three are my faves, but each is an image I'd be proud to have taken. Well done!!
Knowing how difficult the shooting conditions are and the funky weather that was going on you did Marvelous!
Nothing wrong with that great bird on a stick, lots to see at Magee besides warblers
Impressive files at 3200 ISO, you really reached out to fill the frame and it shows nicely. Very pretty on that Cape May, lovely Magnolia, pretty Prothonatary and a rippin' nice Redstart!
You did good sir, very good So sorry I could not meet up with you

Well worth the trip Greg! You got some real beauties and the processing does them proud. Glad you got out there and I'm sure there are more to come.

You did great, Greg! Looks like it was a trip well worth taken.
Every shot is so well captured and presented. Clean detail, lifelike colors, good control of the light and the perch is simple and effective with a pleasant and smooth bg.
I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite, I like each and everyone of these. Well done!

Great job on the warblers Greg. I found them to be one of the most challenging bird groups top photograph. Probably because they never sit still for more than a quarter second. I love them all.
