I'm glad the lower tier is getting more attention. I like this shot - but the glow is a bit much for my taste.

Dustin, thanks, feedback always appreciated!

Very, very impressive!

Now, a question to the many of you who have images from the base of the falls (either this or the level above): exactly how hard is it to get down there? I've only been to PCF once, and restricted myself to the viewing platform on a very wet and sloppy day, but would like to get at least to the base of the upper part of the falls if possible. I've seen plenty of shots from the base from other photographers, but am mindful of Bryan Swan's warning that one shouldn't try to reach the base

I think it's moderately dangerous scaling some of the rock faces. You don't have to be an advanced climber but you do need to be careful, and measure each movement. When you're doing this and juggling camera gear/tripod it can get more dangerous. Go with someone so they can give you a hand/hold extra stuff. They can't really call an ambulance if you fall, no service out there. But they can drive for help if it comes to that.

Wow, you are a real go-getter. I would fall in and ruin my camera and lens and end up with nothing to show for it. Great work and one does feel like he is in the water with you. Very nice job. Dave

I think I'm going to end up doing that one of these days .

Anyone have any insurance recommendations? I think putting stuff on the homeowners is out.

Awesome shot. I love the water coming right at me. Great composition.

One thing that caught my attention is the light blue in the lower water. It look a little artificial IMO.

I have separate insurance for my gear. They will replace my gear for the amount I paid, not what it is worth used. Water, theft, etc etc it is covered. It cost me like $7 a month, my deductible is $250, which I need to erase to $0. If you are doing this for a living, you may need commercial insurance. I wouldn't put it on the homeowners, just asking for trouble. Sorry for the hijack
