I really appreciate the continued comments and feedback! The foreground didn't initially strike me as too bright but now I see it. I'll make an adjustment on the final image on my website. Thanks!!
When you light paint in shots like this (assume its a fairly long exposure, 15-20 seconds? ) are you able to walk in and out of the scene while painting and not show in the shot, or do you paint from a distance while out of the frame?

Stunning work by the way!
Thanks for the comment Jim! The light painting varies each and every time. Some exposures are 30 seconds while others are 2-4 minutes, it all depends on how much I need to light up. I tend to opt for a longer exposure so I can lower the ISO and stop down the lens a bit to make sure everything in the frame is sharp. I'll then trigger the camera with an intervelometer and paint with either headlamps, LED wands, flashes, etc. Sometimes I'll get myself in the frame but I take multiple frames without moving the camera so I can mask myself out. Then I'll mask all of the foreground shots to get even out the lighting as needed. It can be time consuming but I haven't found a better way to get even(ish) lighting.

Thank you for the details on your process! I have some work to do on learning to mask in photoshop, I am really weak there. Best, Jim
