FANTASTIC, Ron! The Golden-fronted Woodpecker is fabulous, the Painted Bunting is one of my favorite birds (that I have yet to see myself), but I have to say that my two favorite shots are non-traditional: the Caracara being dive-bombed (is that a Northern Mockingbird?) and, absolute #1 is that pious Mexican ground squirrel.
The only thing that's missing is an environmental shot of the setting...would have loved to see CT, Shreeni, and company ensconced in their blinds. Look forward to more.
Wow Ron! This is what retirement should be like every day. You have some wicked shots here. Can't pick favorite(s), but I'll say the woodies and the bunting are top drawer. Caracara shot is pretty neat too.

All very nice. Looks like you had a great trip to Texas. Hard to pick a favorite.
Thanx Mike.

Ron the wasp shot is the biz! And so is the Caracara. And so is the Coachwhip. Just beautiful, looks like you had a great shoot. Thank you
Phil
Thanx Phil. It took a lot of shots to get the wasp. Shooting the 500 with a tube doesn't give much dof.

Wowza buddy what a wickedly cool variety! Must be the luck of Conrad
#1 and #8 are exceptional Ron, those are impressive, love them both!!
I'm partial to the GFWP shots as both are very very nice.
Great set and how about those Painted Buntings, aren't they a colorful treat

Sounds like you had lots and lots of fun and met some great people. Love the woodies and bunting but the snake may be my favorite and the last ground squirrel is too cute but may be in trouble. I do think I heard a rattlesnake making the same prayer just before it took out that squirrel
Eric
Thanx Eric - everyone had a ton of fun. We saw 3 of the coachwhips, but no rattlers. All but one guy wanted to get shots of a rattler, and he wanted nothing to do with any snake.
