Thank you everyone. I did post the disclaimer for a reason. I am not looking for nor do I want to hear your anti-gun, anti-freedom drivel. End of story.

You're for freedom of speech yet you "don't want to hear anti-gun anti-freedom drivel"? That's not free speech. That's censorship.

I didn't post the images to argue gun policies, therefore, those types of comments are not welcome. If you want to argue amongst yourselves, then by all means, have at it, but I will have no part of it.

This is an open forum. "those types of comments are not welcome" doesn't hold water. Expect feedback from all quarters in an open forum. Sorry but you can't censor what people say here. I would expect folks ranging from radical liberals to right wing anarchists to feel free to express their views on this. You appear to hate government yet you want to govern what is said here.

The pictures are of course beautiful, so my thoughts will definitely be more of personal preferences, but I think I would've put in a little bit more action into the pictures, like with her walking somewhere or crouching or something. The pistol just seems to hang limp to the side, as if she forgot it was in her hand, or as if it's the test shot the moment before you said, "okay, now that I have the exposure right, give me a cool pose and a grin" or something like that. I feel like even the slight bit of her holding the gun away from her body in #2 adds life into her pose when compared to the others. Also, in the rifle picture her left arm could've been doing something interesting like gripping the magazine, instead of being completely hidden, which doesn't bother me at first, but the longer I look at it the more I convince myself that it is a picture of her one-armed twin.

In America, it used to be, for the people, by the people. then folks like you came around, and wanted big brother to do more.

Back on point.

These are certainly in the style of Lisa (brilliant), but I will agree that the gun does nothing but detract from the images (and I have nothing against guns)

Now, that said... it is her vision, and she is, of course, entitled to fulfill it in any way her artistic eye sees fit.

It seems "forced" and just there for impact, rather than her beautiful work standing on it's own.

Aloha!

I think Lisa posts stuff to be intentionally provocative. It's too bad, really.

I like #3 the best of all of these. You have a beautiful daughter and I always enjoy seeing your great work'
If more people owned guns and knew how to use them properly, there would be less crime.

The first one lacked the pop I am used to seeing in your photos.....flat would be the word I would use......but the rest of them I really like between the rainbow (how the heck did you order that up?) to your daughters stunning blue eyes.......

As usual, beautiful. I especially like the your processing in #2, and would hope you do more with that in the future. Your title "My stunning daughter" correctly labels your series. Like all your children she is gorgeous. I continue to marvel at your portraits, you're always dead on focus with the eyes, and background DOF perfect. It draws ones view beautifully and correctly to the subject. More and more it's becoming difficult to pick a "favorite" from series you post. Thank you.
Ed
PS
My daughters in their teens were also quite attractive. I would tease them that I was going to chain 2 Pit Bulls to their ankles. Lisa......., uh..., I think it's time your hubby bought some Pit Bulls.

They don't take anything away from the photos either.

The images are nice but I am trying to understand how the gun relates to the image. Is it a cultural thing to stand in a desert with a firearm? Wouldn't it be just as incongruous for the subject to be holding an egg beater?

That warped shot is .... WARPED! Badum dum. Way cool, very nice. That is really a departure for you. You use your tool box so very well. I am envious of you total package ability.
