Maybe the SD1m is what I was reading about in the past.
There has been some talk over at the dpreview forum regarding Sigma coming out with their next DSLR. Presumably it will be the SD1 Quattro, but I have not seen any official announcement. I personally would welcome a full frame Foveon DSLR, or the APS-C upgraded with Live View, higher ISO performance and a faster buffer, but I am not holding my breath.
・By reviewing the image development process, it has improved image quality of RAW data (X3F file) of the SIGMA dp Quattro series.
・It has improved the image development process of long exposure photography, for images taken by the SIGMA dp Quattro series.
・It has added the Quick Check Mode to the Main Window (this feature is not available for RAW data taken with SD9 and SD10 cameras).
・It has added the Specifying Folder function to the “Computer” pane in the Main Window.
・It has corrected the phenomenon that it occasionally develops corrupted image data when the X3 Fill Light function is used.
・It has corrected the phenomenon that the brightness level cannot set at 2 or lower if the RAW data is taken with the SIGMA SD1, Merrill series, and dp Quattro series.
Preliminary tests it seems a little quicker on my windows machine.

6.3 seems to me quite different. Speed appears the same but I've never had a problem. The initial difference without any comparisons are colour using the Merrill raws, could simply be my own unreliable perception.
Playing around with SPP 6.3 on some images of Yangon I shot a couple years ago. Seems a hair faster, but IQ on the Merrills...well, I don't see a difference in output quality
