My first post here although I have been a member for almost ten years, mainly for buying used gear. I read in the Sigma Camera Talk forum at the DP Review site, this was the place to see and share Foveon pictures. I hope so, as I started a thread over at GetDPI in 2014 for the SD1M, but no activity except for me. No fun.
I came to the Foveon cameras after years of using large format film and medium format digital. I am a retired commercial artist and photographer and prefer the Foveon cameras even with all their quirks for my fine art work. I am not a pixel peeper, and I do it all for the aesthetic value. I currently shoot with the SD1M and a few lenses, plus the three DP Merrills, which I affectionately refer to as my "Little Bricks." I had a busy week shooting the SD1M (images below) and testing the DP2Q alongside my DP2M. Although I do appreciate the upgrades of faster processing speed, the layout of the buttons and the color enhancement of the 2Q, I will be staying with my 2M.
I hope you will enjoy seeing my work as much I will enjoy seeing yours.
Beautiful shots Darlene!
You know me from getdpi when I used to have the DPm2 as well, (untill it was stolen).
Went all the way Sony, mainly because I like to fiddle around wit different alt lenses.

Darlen welcome and good to see a new poster. I did see these this afternoon when you posted in the weekly image thread and did not comment but will now. Like them a lot, the first being for myself the one that stands out.
I know full well a thread which is slow or not posted too, I even hold back here sometimes as I feel I have posted too many without others participating. It has gotten faster of late which is great. Looking forward to many more of your images.

Hi Michiel!
I do remember you; I especially remember your work. Your street art is great stuff.
Thank you for the compliments. I can understand getting lost in the Sony line. I have a NEX-7 and enjoy it a lot. I never tried a 7 series, but hope to rent one in the near future. It is nice to reconnect with you Michiel!

Hi Julian,
I am very familiar with your work and always look forward to seeing it. I find your work to be captivating as it makes me want to travel to the fishing villages and small towns you capture. You are able to depict not just the sights, but for me, also the sounds and smells as well. I have never looked at dead fish like I look at yours! I am glad Alan pointed me to this thread from DPR, as I know there has to be more Foveon lovers out there. I promise I will do my best to help keep this thread alive.
A few images this weekend in Hawaii.
First is of Waimea Bay with Sigma Merrill DP1m.
Second is of Hawaii Bamboo with Sigma Merrill DP3m wide open f2.8.
Third and fourth at Kailua Beach with DP1m.
Guys,
Can you tell me how to link pictures over here from some other site? When i do, only the link appears not the image. Maybe it can't be done from a smart phone, or from a mobile version of the website (flickr).
Funny thing, because i have posted few pictures in the past, but may be i forgot how to, or technology has moved on....
Some hibiscus flowers that are in my garden. It was a misty overcast morning on Sat. so I went out back and snapped a few shots of the hibiscus flower.
