My first post here although I have been a member for almost ten years, mainly for buying used gear. I read in the Sigma Camera Talk forum at the DP Review site, this was the place to see and share Foveon pictures. I hope so, as I started a thread over at GetDPI in 2014 for the SD1M, but no activity except for me. No fun.
I came to the Foveon cameras after years of using large format film and medium format digital. I am a retired commercial artist and photographer and prefer the Foveon cameras even with all their quirks for my fine art work. I am not a pixel peeper, and I do it all for the aesthetic value. I currently shoot with the SD1M and a few lenses, plus the three DP Merrills, which I affectionately refer to as my \"Little Bricks.\" I had a busy week shooting the SD1M (images below) and testing the DP2Q alongside my DP2M. Although I do appreciate the upgrades of faster processing speed; the layout of the buttons and the color enhancement of the 2Q, I will be staying with my 2M.
