Per "Chez's" request here is the same Cascade Flow shot but with more mountains to the right.
I took this one much later (maybe 15 minutes later, which in the morning light time frame is a lot) so the colors changed quite a bit already. The sky, as you can see, has also changed and color of the water became more blueish.
I decided not to apply the "fuzziness" or the painterly effect that much on this one. I did a little bit (I had to) but just to enhances colors. This is actually a stitch of two shots taken vertically. I used my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 for that with my beloved Singh-Ray Vari-N-Trio so I think this was taken at around 50mm.
Such a range in colour and emotion from the top of the image to the bottom. It looks like a magical place, something you'd find in a fantasy movie. It's almost too pretty to believe that place exists on our earth.
Very cool work here. Even with that change of light, there is still a magical quality to this light and colors.
If I were to try anything different it would be to get rid of the rocks in the water in the lower right to get the water to be able to flow out of the frame unhindered. Maybe a combination of cropping and warping them out?
